2009, I had just finished a 7 hours day working as a School Sim Administrator. I picked up Grace, my eldest daughter from school and as soon as I walked home my phone run and it was my brother in law in France “I am so sorry, your sister has passed away”. I felt like my head was going to explode.
I had no passport so couldn’t travel to France to say goodbye. The following day, I called the office but I was told there was no-one to cover me so had to go to work. By Midday I just couldn’t do it anymore so I left and took a week off.
I started researching businesses, what could I actually do with myself? So I married my laptop 🙂 I woke up with it, went to sleep with it. I finally decided to set up a recruitment business and work for myself.
I had a good friend who agreed to buy 5% of the business for £2500. December 3rd, 2009, I became the power of Link For People Employment Ltd.
That was the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey

About me, I am married to a wonderfully stubborn Essex boy, Darren and together we have 3 girls; Grace 14, Jessica 6 and Kayleigh 4.
The girls are pretty much part of everything I do, they are my front line cheer-leaders, believe it or not, they also help me in my business in their own little ways. Darren, has supported in everything I have done so far, I always ask myself sometimes “How did that even happen?” :-).
In September 2014 I joined a Direct Selling company after 8 years of using their products.
It was an amazing experience to meet other entrepreneurs. The motivation and level of recognition were amazing.
I progressed fairly quickly and achieved Leadership ranks, earned many prizes and rewards including a Mini Cooper, diamonds and so much more. I had the opportunity to work with amazing women in the company but also in my team.
I also learned more about myself and what motivates me. I love “projects”, if it means it will help someone, I will be on it. I also discovered a very creating side of me leading to an interest in Digital Marketing.
In the past 4 years, I explored the benefits of running your business by combining traditional face to face business and Social Media/ Online Marketing. It was the best thing I had done for myself.
In July, I decided to go to University and Study BA(Hon) Advertising and Digital Marketing Communications. Thanks to all the times spent researching the best way to grow my business. Going to university is a great opportunity for me actually learn the back and front of Advertising and Digital Marketing from industry experts. I enrolled at the university of Greenwich and was very excited to have been offered a place based on my experience.
Alongside my studies, I also decided to move on from the 4-year career with the first Direct Selling Company and joined another global company in Network Marketing.
I am so excited about the choices I have made and looking forward to the future.
